This page lists everything this site can store in your browser. There is no hidden item: if it is not on this table, we do not put it.
1. The short version
Where the law requires your permission first — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Brazil — nothing that measures you loads until you give it. A bar at the foot of the page asks, with Accept and Reject the same size and the same weight, because a decision you are nudged into is not a decision. Everywhere else the measurement loads when you arrive, which is what the law of those countries allows, and the link at the foot of any page switches it off.
Where you are asked: until you answer, and for good if you reject, Google Analytics is never requested. Not the script, and not even a connection — opening one already hands Google your address. And if you accepted and change your mind, rejecting deletes the cookie there and then, without waiting for you to reload.
2. What can be stored
The last column is the one that matters. Yes means it waits for you to accept; no means it is what makes the page work, or your own choice, and asking for permission to remember your own choice would be theatre.

3. Changing your mind
Any time, and it costs one click: reopen the choice. Whatever you pick replaces what you picked before. Taking permission back has to be as easy as giving it, so it is the same bar and the same two buttons.
You can also clear the site data in your browser: that erases everything on this table, and the next visit will ask again.
4. If you reject
Nothing on the site stops working. You lose nothing: no feature, no page, no speed. We stop knowing that you were here, and that is the whole difference.
