Download
Download the connector file.

Upload
In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
Choose the file and click Install Now.

Activate
Click Activate.
The site registers itself and your home page starts shipping lighter right away.
What the connector does
The connector changes the image URLs a browser sees. Our network returns the same image in the format the browser accepts and at the width the page draws. The original files on your server stay unchanged.
The first request creates an AVIF or WebP derivative; later requests use the cached result. Your library is not uploaded in bulk. If the service or one image fails, the connector falls back to the original file on your server.
You need WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. Activation registers the site with one verification request, without an account or API key. A firewall can block that call; if it does, send us the site address.
What happens next
No original image is changed. Deactivate the connector and the original URLs return right away.
